Why should I get my heat pump serviced?
Heat pumps are an asset in your home and to your own personal comfort so therefore they are worth taking care of.
If you don’t have it serviced you can knock off 4 to 5 years of its lifespan. I can guarantee it will perform well below what you were told it will do when you purchased it. If you have noticed an increase in your power bill, your heat pump is one of the first things you should check.
Heating Comparison
We can do a heating comparison between different types of heating. This way you can get the best heating for your home and family. Do you need 2 or 3 heat pumps in your house? Perhaps you only need one that is slightly bigger, maybe you are overdoing it.
LEDs
You’ve all heard it before, “you need LED lights”, but what is the actual reason to have LEDs? They last longer, up to 100,00 hours. They are cost-effective which reduces your power bill. They are stronger, which means you don’t have to be super gentle like a normal bulb. They also provide instant lighting, there is nothing worse than going into a room, you turn on the light and the bulb takes forever to warm up to full brightness.
Hot Water Timers
Water heater timers essentially allow homeowners to determine when their water heaters will function, depending on the times of the day when the occupants require hot water.
Turning off your water heater, like many other electrical appliances, can save you money each month on your bill. A small amount of heat escapes when the water heater is turned on, even though it's well insulated. Typically, this loss of energy is about 10% of your bill.
